Wax & Stacks Returns to The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
The Library for the Performing Arts & the Brooklyn Flea Record Fair team up once again to present Wax & Stacks. This free event includes fifteen specially curated record collectors selling their wares alongside DJs and unique demos by the library’s Music and Recorded Sound Division featuring materials from their extensive collection. Full vendor lineup and program schedule coming soon. This will be our second Wax & Stacks at the library. Our first W&S last July featured a deep listening comparison of versions of Hop on Down (to Petland) from the Arthur Russell archive and a wax cylinder demonstration. Needless to say, both were momentous and we can’t wait to see what the Music and Recorded Sound Division has in store for us this round.
